The Favorite Hidden Spot

cute little children sitting in a yellow kitchen cupboard; two little boys have fun; the two-year-old is just opening the cupboard door

This was the most exciting place for my cute little boys some years ago! πŸ˜€

First, they always emptied my kitchen sink cupboard and I often had to look for my buckets and cleaning materials all over the house. Then they closed the cabinet door and were very quiet. I used to pretend I didn’t know where they were and searched and called for them. They kept quiet and the excitement increased minute by minute. I heard them rustling and snorting…

“Boo-hoo! Mama, here we are!”, the door flew open and I heard them giggle and cheer. I pretended it was a big relief and then asked wondering: “Oh, how did you manage to do that again? I couldn’t hear you at all!” πŸ˜€

I kissed my cuties and they beamed with pride, quickly closed the door, and the game started all over again.

I miss that time when they’re so young and cuddly, it’s over too fast, even though I had to admit that this time was exhausting, too, because I only got very little time to rest and sleep. πŸ˜‰

    2. My 5-year old son loves to keep me busy when I’m in the home. The joy and excitement he shows whenever I return home from work is something I can’t explain in words.
