In summer, sometimes we grab our huge inflatable tires and mattresses and go to the big river Lech.
After 6 pm the hydroelectric power station is turned off for about 3 hours and, therefore, the water current is not as strong as during the day, even though it is still very fast. We let the current carry us downstream, but for that we have to go back barefooted through bushes on a tiny path along the river banks.
Another way which is great fun for us, is to go back and struggle against the current; the water is always very cold here, even in summer, because it comes directly from the mountains.
At our small pebble beach we can warm up quickly and enjoy the evening sun for a long time. The pebbles have stored the summer heat during the day, and so we get hot bottoms very quickly again, haha! 😎
