Swans are loyal partners and loving and caring parents.

Four years ago, I was very depressed when I realized that I would have to raise my children alone. I knew it would have a hard time, and I often dreamed for a miracle.

I had always wished for a man for my children and me who would understand the sacrifices that caring for children requires, and who would see this as a wonderful journey that we could share together.

I saw this pair of swans every time I walked along the river near our new home. I watched them raising their children, and for me they represented the promise for a better future for the three of us.

  2. Swans are soul mates for life. We saw a lot of them raising their families on the marina and up river. They are determined parents, so your concept of comparison is very good indeed.

  4. Hope your search for a soulmate has a good resolution. It’s the luck of the draw I feel, whether we meet the right person in life or not, but feeling positive is good, and the love of your children must be a great comfort to you. And although swans may seem serene and sooooo happy, who knows? Maybe underneath, they are paddling like mad just to keep afloat like most of us are!

    1. Thank you for your thoughts, Mari. I can’t imagine “my” swans paddling wild underwater to keep their heads up, they always look so relaxed! 😀 Yes, I get a lot of love back from my children, and when I am often tired after a long day, I am happy about my richness.
